Chiije candles are poured from natural, renewable waxes — European soy, or rapeseed and coconut — with no paraffin. We use phthalate-free fragrance and essential oils, and lead-free cotton and linen wicks. Every product page lists the full composition, oil by oil.

Each scent is available as a candle in three sizes — Petite, Essence, and Signature — and as a reed diffuser for rooms where an open flame is not ideal. The Discovery Set lets you smell three scents in miniature first. The Candle-Mug is a 260 g candle in a ceramic mug you keep and drink from after the burn, in three scents from the range. The empty Chiije Mug is the same vessel without wax.

Choose any three scents in miniature. After purchase we email a unique credit, equal to the Discovery Set price, to use on your first full-size order. It is the simplest way to decide with your nose rather than from copy alone.

A candle poured into a ceramic mug you keep. Burn it down, wash it out, and drink from it. 260 g of wax, about 60 hours. Blue is Nº4 Echoes of Oud, White is Nº11 Cedar & Pine, Cream is Nº20 Scandalwood. The empty mug is sold separately as The Chiije Mug.

Each scent is composed as a full atmosphere, not a single note. Nº4 Echoes of Oud is rose, oud and spice; Nº20 Scandalwood is creamy sandalwood and soft florals; Nº11 Cedar & Pine is green and clarifying; Nº87 Fire is bergamot, eucalyptus and warm woods. Notes, story and ingredients sit on every product page.

We source European waxes, use recycled and FSC-certified paper packaging where possible, and keep plastic out of the box wherever we can. Formulas are poured in small batches in Oslo. The vessel is made to be reused after the last burn — that is part of the product, not an afterthought.

For a clean, even burn:

• Trim the wick to 3–5 mm before lighting.
• On the first burn, let the wax melt evenly to the edge — this can take up to four hours.
• Do not burn for more than four hours at a time after that.
• Keep away from drafts, and never leave a candle unattended.
• Stop when about 5 mm of wax remains.

Yes. When the wax is gone, wash the vessel out. Essence and Signature cups hold dried flowers, a cutting, brushes or loose tea. Petite vessels take rings and matches. The Candle-Mug is made to drink from after the last burn.

Place the vessel on a stable surface away from strong sun and heat. Flip the reeds every week or two to refresh the scent. Use more reeds for a stronger throw, fewer for a quieter one. With ordinary care, expect about three to four months of scent, depending on airflow.

All orders ship from Oslo, Norway. Typical delivery: Norway 2–5 business days; EU/EEA, the US and worldwide 3–7 business days. You receive tracking when your order ships. Times can vary at peak season and with local carriers.

Prices include tax for Norway, the EU, and the UK. For other countries, local import charges, duties or taxes may apply at delivery — these are set by your destination, not by Chiije. If you are unsure what applies to your order, email support@chiije.com before you check out.

Tracking is emailed when your order leaves Oslo. If you have not received it within the delivery window above, write to support@chiije.com with your order number.

If your order arrives damaged or defective, email support@chiije.com within 7 days of delivery. Unused items may be returned within 14 days in line with our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Yes. You can add a personal note at checkout. We do not put a price in the box. Packaging is plastic-free where possible and made to be kept or recycled.

Yes. We invoice, wrap, and ship to every address on your list — for employees, clients, and year-end. Norwegian employers can gift up to 5,000 kr per employee per year, tax free, within the current rules.
