Frequently asked questions
What are Chiije candles made from?
All Chiije candles are crafted from natural, renewable waxes such as beeswax, soy, coconut, apricot, olive and rapeseed wax - chosen for their clean burn and sustainable origin. We use phthalate-free fragrance & essential oils and lead-free cotton & linen wicks to ensure a pure, healthy atmosphere in your home.
Are your products sustainable?
Yes. We source local, European waxes and use recycled & FSC-certified paper packaging where possible, recyclable materials, and clean ingredients throughout our process. Every candle is poured in small batches with care and intention.
How should I care for my candle?
For the best burn:
- Trim the wick to 5 mm before lighting.
- Allow the first burn to melt the wax evenly to the edge.
- Avoid burning longer than 4 hours at a time.
- Keep away from drafts and never leave a candle unattended.

What makes your fragrances unique?
Each scent is designed as a sensory experience, blending natural inspiration with emotional storytelling. From the warm notes of Scandalwood to the depth of Echoes of Oud, our fragrances are crafted to evoke stillness, connection, and presence.
Where do you ship from, and how long does delivery take?
All orders are shipped from Oslo, Norway. Delivery within Norway typically takes 2–5 business days, while international shipping times vary depending on location. You’ll receive tracking details as soon as your order ships.
Do you offer returns or exchanges?
If your candle arrives damaged or defective, please contact us at hello@chiije.com within 7 days of delivery. For safety and quality reasons, we cannot accept returns of used candles, but we’ll always work with you to make things right.
Do you offer gift wrapping or notes?
Yes. Each Chiije candle is beautifully packaged, and you can include a personal note at checkout. Our packaging is plastic-free, designed for reuse or recycling.
