Welcome to Chiije. The terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to Chiije AS. Chiije operates this store and website, including related information, content, features, tools, products and services, to provide you with a curated shopping experience (the "Services"). Chiije is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.

Orders

Your order is not accepted until Chiije confirms acceptance, and payment must be received and processed before acceptance. Please review your order carefully before submitting.

If we do not accept, change, or cancel an order, we will attempt to notify you using the contact details provided with the order.

Purchases are subject to return or exchange solely in accordance with our Refund Policy, without prejudice to your mandatory consumer rights.

You represent that purchases are for your own personal or household use and not for commercial resale or export, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Prices and billing

Prices, discounts, and promotions are subject to change without notice. The price charged is the price in effect when the order is placed and set out in your order confirmation. Unless expressly stated, posted prices do not include taxes, shipping, handling, customs, or import charges.

You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and payment information, and to keep it updated so we can complete transactions and contact you as needed.

Shipping and delivery

Delivery times are estimates and not guarantees. We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs processing, or events outside our reasonable control.

Intellectual property

Our Services — including trademarks, brands, text, displays, images, graphics, product reviews, video, audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof — are owned by Chiije, its affiliates, or licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws in Norway, the EEA, and other jurisdictions.

These Terms permit you to use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use only. You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any material on the Services without our prior written consent, except as expressly allowed by law.

Chiije's names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Chiije or its licensors. Shopify's name, logo, and related marks are trademarks of Shopify. All other marks on the Services belong to their respective owners.

Optional tools

You may be provided access to third-party customer tools as part of the Services. We neither monitor nor control those tools. Access is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties or endorsement, to the extent permitted by law. Use of optional third-party tools is at your own risk and subject to the third party's terms.

Third-party links

The Services may contain materials and links to third-party websites or embedded functionality. We are not responsible for examining or evaluating third-party content. If you leave the Services to access third-party materials, you do so at your own risk. Review third-party policies before engaging in any transaction with them.

Relationship with Shopify

Chiije is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services. Sales and purchases in our store are made directly with Chiije. Shopify is not responsible for sales between you and Chiije, including injury, damage, or loss resulting from purchased products and services, except as required by applicable law.

Personal information collected through the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy. Certain information may also be subject to Shopify's privacy notices. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read these privacy policies.

Feedback

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers. In those cases, the disclaimer applies only to the extent permitted.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chiije and its partners, directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, and service providers (and those of Shopify and its affiliates) will not be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, savings, or data, arising from your use of the Services or products procured through the Services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Norwegian or other applicable mandatory law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is prohibited.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Chiije, Shopify, and our respective affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims arising out of your breach of these Terms, your violation of law or third-party rights, or your misuse of the Services, except to the extent caused by our own negligence or willful misconduct.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Waiver; entire agreement

Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

These Terms and any policies or operating rules posted on the Services constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services, and supersede prior agreements relating to the same subject matter.

Assignment

You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms and our rights and obligations without consent, except where prohibited by law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict-of-law principles that would require application of another jurisdiction's laws. If you are a consumer, you may also benefit from mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence.

Disputes may be brought before the ordinary courts of Norway. Consumers in the EEA may also have the right to use alternative dispute resolution mechanisms available in their country of residence.
