Mind the Gap: Men and Mental Health

June 10, 2026 • 12:00 PM - 01:00PM

Mental health support does not always reach people in the ways they need it. For men, experiences of wellbeing are often shaped by multiple factors including expectations around masculinity, care, relationships, work, identity, and how support is understood or accessed. It is also compounded by social and economic precarity.

This conversation explores the spaces between recognising that something is difficult and knowing where to turn; between wanting support and finding support that feels accessible, relevant, and human.

Mind the Gap asks what it takes to create healthier pathways to care, connection, and wellbeing for men.

What we’ll explore:

  • What the gaps in men’s mental health support can look like in everyday life
  • How social expectations shape the ways men understand and respond to their wellbeing
  • The role of friendships, families, partners, workplaces, and communities in making support more accessible
  • How we can notice, respond, and create space for meaningful conversations earlier
  • What more supportive, connected approaches to men’s mental health could look like

Who this is for:

Anyone interested in mental health and wellbeing. Men navigating their own mental health. Friends, partners, family members, colleagues, and community members who want to better understand how to offer support and contribute to healthier conversations.

What this is not:

This is not a conversation about blaming men and it is not about having all the answers. It is an open and thoughtful conversation about the gaps that can exist around men’s mental health, and how we can build stronger support, greater connection, and more room for wellbeing together.
